October to April: the mild season
There are two ways to spend winter: getting through it – or spending it here, where the sun shines around 2,200 hours a year and you can sit outside at midday in January. Villa Livi is open all year round, and the mild season is our quietest, perhaps loveliest time.
The climate, honestly
Winter here is a season for being outdoors
The Pula area counts around 2,200 hours of sunshine a year. Even in the coldest months, daytime temperatures usually reach 8 to 13 °C. That's weather for a coat and good shoes, not for staying indoors. Rain mostly falls in short spells, and snow is a real rarity here.
Guests from Scandinavia, Germany or the Baltics notice the difference most in the light: even in winter it stays bright for many hours a day, often with low, golden sunshine over the open sea.

Walking and cycling country
The coastal path
From the house, the shoreline promenade runs toward the village and on around the bay – flat, paved in long stretches, and walkable in any month.
Cape Kamenjak
In winter the cape belongs to walkers and cyclists: kilometres of trails over cliffs and coves, without summer's entry queues.
Vižula archaeological park
A seaside path through the remains of a Roman villa maritima, 1.6 km away – an easy, level walk with interpretation boards.
Pula out of season
The Arena, the old town, markets and cafés – ten minutes by car, and in winter you share them mostly with locals.
Life at the house
Warm rooms, full kitchens, no hurry
Every apartment is heated independently through its air-conditioning, so you set your own temperature from day one. The kitchens are equipped for real cooking, Wi-Fi is free throughout the house, satellite TV brings your channels from home, and for the weekly shop there's a Lidl just a kilometre away.
The street itself is residential and wonderfully quiet in winter. Days find their own rhythm here: a long walk in the morning, lunch on the sunny terrace when the weather plays along, and perhaps an afternoon in Pula.
Longer stays
Stay a few weeks – or the whole winter
The apartments are made for living, not just for a short visit. Guests who'd like to stay several weeks or months in the mild season are especially welcome. Just send us your dates and we'll be happy to put together a personal offer.
